PDMPs help prevent prescription “shoppers”, who attempt to get multiple doctors to administer or prescribe opioids.
That means prescribers can make more informed decisions about what to give their patients. Over the last few years, all 50 states have established Prescription Drug Monitoring Programs (PDMPs) - including an increase of almost 20 states since 2018. Additionally we’ve built functionality within Expanse so organizations can set their own opioid prescribing guidelines for providers to follow.

With that data, prescribers can quickly determine the appropriate course of treatment for each patient. Has anyone else successfully managed to manage their meditech systems and such from either a Mac or Linux desktop? I have had to test and use MESH several times, which seems to be windows and chrome only as far as I can tell. We do almost everything with WPL since we are on expanse 2.1 pp24 with our 2.2 already on the calendar. I have to remote into a systems that are hosted, and manage several dictionaries as well as the MIS systems in general. I am allowed to run any OS as long as the systems run. We do not host our own Meditech system, but it is with a large meditech partner. We have several providers who use Mac at home and we have seen several M1 mac's pop up. I have been less than happy with windows 10. We came from another vendor that had been used in one capacity or another since 1993. We have been on meditech expanse for just over a year.
